Indigenous artists' program
2010 Indigenous artists’ program
Viscopy is proud of the education program we deliver for artists, students and arts organisations throughout Australia which aims to promote awareness of the importance of copyright, the role and functions of collecting societies and the services provided by Viscopy.
This year Viscopy has received renewed grant funding from the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) to ensure that our education program reaches Indigenous artists, including those living in remote areas.
During 2010, we are planning a national program of high-quality, accessible copyright education events and information with a strong practical emphasis aimed at Indigenous artists and communities in remote, regional and metropolitan areas within Australia.
These workshops are freely available to Indigenous artists - whether Viscopy members or not. We also provide seminars to Indigenous communities, art centres and arts organisations which can be tailored to meet your exact needs.
Our 2010 workshop program will be published shortly. If you would like to attend a workshop or would like Viscopy to deliver a seminar in your community or for your organisation, please get in touch. We will aim to accommodate all the requests we receive, but please be aware that the program is very popular so make sure you reserve your place or submit your request as soon as possible.
